Our list of services include :

  • Reservoir Characterization and Engineering

  • Numerical Reservoir Simulation and Integrated Studies

  • Field Development (infill drilling spacing and fracture treatment) Optimization

  • Water Flooding and Gas Injection Studies

  • Hydraulic Fracturing Design and Modelling

  • Minifrac and DFIT Analysis and Interpretation

  • Flowback / Production Data Analysis.

This page discusses some of the topics we can help you on.

DFIT Minifrac PetroMars
Minifrac / DFIT Analysis

The main objective of a Minifrac / Diagnostic Fracture Injection Test (DFIT) is the estimation of fracture gradient, closure pressure, system permeability, pore pressure and flow regimes identification. Other parameters such as net pressure, closure time, leak off mechanism and fluid efficiency can be estimated too.

Petrophysical Data Calibration

Log data (LAS) is used to generate reservoir / petrophysical parameters and represent the lithology of formation.  DFIT is used for stress profile calibration and core data is used for the calibration of other parameters.

Multi-Cluster Completion

In a multi-cluster completion design, it is important to find an optimal cluster spacing to effectively stimulate all clusters. As shown above if clusters are placed too close to each other, the induced stress on inner clusters would be high and therefore those clusters would be squeezed out.

Fracture Geometry Estimation

Fracture geometry estimation before pumping a job helps to optimize wellbore treatment design and save money.

Knowing the expected range of fracture geometry is also a good precautionary step to avoid unintended interference with neighboring operators, preventing breaking into another zone and satisfying regulatory requirements.

Reservoir Simulation Model PetroMars.jpg
Numerical Reservoir Simulation

Reservoir simulation and modelling is a powerful tool to study your reservoir for evaluation purposes and development strategy optimization. It can be used to study a pilot project for enhanced oil recovery schemes, green field development design, brown field development optimization and even a single wellbore drainage study.

Perforations in a HZ WEllbore

Obviously, perforations should be placed in a hydrocarbon rich zone.  At the same time, one should avoid perforating the wellbore in a high stress zone where an effective hydraulic fracturing treatment can not be pumped.

Fracture Spacing Optimization

One of the common question for operators is how many fracture stages, what size and type of fracturing treatment should be pumped.  We have extensive experience on this kind of studies and can help you to maximize the stimulated reservoir volume and get the highest return from your wellbore stimulation spending.

Infill / Pad Drilling Optimization

Infill / Pad drilling spacing optimization is another topic that we can help you on. Drilling the right number of wellbores per section of land can reduce the development cost for your asset while getting the most hydrocarbon out of formation and improving your balance sheet.
